You should be qualified social worker, who has significant experience of working with looked after children and foster carers. You are required to have a good understanding of the appropriate and relevant legislation and regulations. Some supervisory or management experience within a social work setting is essential.

You will need strong Team Leadership Skills to create a ‘can do’ environment of high achievement with a focus on problem solving and creative solutions. Have the ability to make timely and effective decisions and lead by example, understanding when to consult with or defer to others. Be able to build and facilitate relationships, both internally and external to the organisation. You will be prepared to work flexible hours as required to carry out the role of Principal Social Worker successfully.

ISP Caterham is currently seeking a qualified Social Worker who is enthusiastic, committed and who has an appreciation of foster carers’ skills and role. We ask our Social Workers to take a collaborative approach with Foster Carers in order to promote meaningful and relevant supervision of the placement. Experience of working with foster carers as professional colleagues and working in a multi-discipline arena is essential.

This is a demanding position which includes both a quality assurance role to maintain high standards and a training role to prospective and current carers. You will be an excellent report writer and able to work to strict deadlines.

Salary:: £16,323-20,099 FTE

ISP Special School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and patient Teaching Assistant – Progress and Engagement Guide to join its friendly and supportive team from September 2018.
The role of Progress and Engagement Guide is a variation on the traditional Teaching Assistant. The role is different in that (a) you will be responsible for mentoring 4 or 5 pupils (b) leading on a particular specialism e.g. maths, reading (c) supporting small groups of pupils with targeted interventions. The role also requires you to work proactively with a team to support pupils in the classroom.

Please note, although SEN experience would be useful it is not a requirement, but an empathy and willingness to learn is essential. Early years’ experience and/or previous working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage.

ISP is a well-established innovative, independent fostering provider and has been judged by Ofsted to be an outstanding foster care agency. ISP takes a therapeutic approach to working with children and is committed to promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in placement. ISP are currently looking for a Panel member who is a qualified Social Worker and registered with HCPC, for our Doncaster panel. Panels occur every 3 to 6 weeks on a Wednesday. Attendance is paid at a rate of £200 a panel and includes reading, expenses incurred are paid separately.
