Like our children, Foster Carers need support, encouragement and practical advice and sometimes just someone to listen.
The Fostering Advisors in our teams are key to all of the support required to our Carers and this critical role will be accountable for regularly visiting carers, offering advice and information regarding all the services and support available to them at ISP, Including matching considerations, respite, training, supervised contact, and transportation. The Fostering Advisors also support our children and young people with their leisure activities and other needs they may have.
The successful candidates will understand applicable regulations and standards e.g. Children’s Act & Fostering Service National Minimum Standards, have a good understanding and experience of fostering, be a great team player and relish working with children, young people and Foster Carers.
Experience of fostering, either as a carer or as part of a fostering household is essential. Computer literacy skills are also essential.
