Salary: £16,323-20,099 FTE – role is term time only ISP Special School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and patient Teaching Assistant – Progress and Engagement Guide to join its friendly and supportive team. The role of Progress and Engagement Guide is a variation on the traditional Teaching Assistant. The role is different in that (a) you will be responsible for mentoring 4 or 5 pupils (b) leading on a particular specialism e.g. maths, reading (c) supporting small groups of pupils with targeted interventions. Please note, although SEN experience would be useful it is not a requirement, but an empathy and willingness to learn is essential. Early years’ experience and/or previous working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage. What we are looking for: Working as part of an experienced, collaborative and talented team, your role will be to provide support to our pupils supporting both inside and outside the classroom, delivering intervention programmes and mentoring pupils to ensure that they make progress. Salary: £16,626 – £26,295 FTE, dependent on experience ISP Special School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and patient land-based tutor and mentor to join its friendly and supportive team from February 2019. We are a small school of 34 pupils ranging from KS2 to KS4. We are seeking a land-based tutor to develop and deliver bespoke schemes of work for our pupils. We currently deliver ABC Practical Countryside Awards and Certificates and AQA Unit Awards. You will also be responsible for mentoring 4 or 5 pupils. The role also requires you to work proactively with a team to support pupils in the classroom. Please note, SEN experience is not required but an empathy and willingness to learn is essential. Like our children, Foster Carers need support, encouragement and practical advice and sometimes just someone to listen. The Fostering Advisors in our teams are key to all of the support required to our Carers and this critical role will be accountable for regularly visiting carers, offering advice and information regarding all the services and support available to them at ISP, Including matching considerations, respite, training, supervised contact, and transportation. The Fostering Advisors also support our children and young people with their leisure activities and other needs they may have. The successful candidates will understand applicable regulations and standards e.g. Children’s Act & Fostering Service National Minimum Standards, have a good understanding and experience of fostering, be a great team player and relish working with children, young people and Foster Carers. ISP is a well-established innovative, independent fostering provider and has been judged by Ofsted to be an outstanding foster care agency. ISP takes a therapeutic approach to working with children and is committed to promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in placement. ISP are currently looking for a Panel member who is a qualified Social Worker and registered with HCPC, for our Doncaster panel. Panels occur every 3 to 6 weeks on a Wednesday. Attendance is paid at a rate of £200 a panel and includes reading, expenses incurred are paid separately. Applications must be made on our Application Form: CV’s alone will not be considered.
